Plasma Energy Group has designed, manufactured, and tested an evolutionary system that uses the Plasma Energy Arc Reduction (PEAR) process to reduce waste to its elemental form and simple compounds for an environmental waste solution.
What is Plasma Energy Arc Reduction?
The modular system uses chambers utilizing electrical energy discharged into a waste stream (think of capturing lightning)… PEAR breaks molecular bonds and reduces the waste into elemental forms and simple compounds. The PEAR process does it without combustion (which could produce dangerous and sometimes toxic byproducts).
After processing, the waste stream is converted to carbon black, elemental metals, silica, plasma processed gases, small molecules and heat energy… all environmentally safe.
While the Plasma Energy Arc Process reduces complex molecules to basic atoms or simple molecules, the higher the caloric value of the feed stock the more economical the process. For example: the PEAR loves plastics and generally produces more than enough energy to pay for the processing and maintenance of the Plasma Unit with an excess of syn fuel/gas for sale or use in other plant applications.
The waste stream gas and fuel byproducts that can be captured, cleaned, and stored for an additional small capital cost for the PEAR process, but will generate power that reduces overall operating costs or a profit center… see Economics.
Modular, Customizable System
The system, because it is modular, can be customized for many different clients and industries. For example, a small application allows a hospital to dispose of medical waste on site, eliminating transportation. A municipality, a larger application, can process MSW, sewage waste or reclaim dump sites. Almost any industry/facility that generates waste, can benefit from the PEAR system from small waste generators to very large waste generators.
